Kbs Launches Shaft Aimed At Golfers With Slower Swing Speeds

KBS, the pioneering golf shaft brand that offers a high-performance shaft for every club in the bag, has launched the brand-new KBS MAX HL Graphite wood shaft, designed for players with slower swing speeds looking to hit the ball at a higher launch trajectory with added spin and forgiveness at a very reasonable price.

Extending the KBS line of popular MAX Family of Graphite performance products, the MAX HL wood shaft weighs in between 40-45 grams and is based on the same E.I. curve as the MAX Graphite iron and intended to be fitted to golfers using average swing speed measurements, rather than the traditional flex barometer.

“The MAX HL is a super lightweight driver shaft for the club golfer that maybe feels like he or she is lagging behind in swing speeds and needs help in getting the ball airborne,” said KBS Director of R&D and Master shaft-maker Kim Braly. “We’ve conducted a lot of research and there’s not a shaft that come close in terms of performance, stability and price with the MAX HL retailing at around a third of the price of its nearest competitor.

“We’ve had great success with the MAX Graphite iron shaft and the MAX HL provides the perfect evolution up through the bag for the added accuracy and consistency that only Tour-proven KBS shafts provide,” he added.

Offered in .335” Tip Diameter with a 4” Parallel Tip, the new KBS MAX HL wood shaft comes in the following three weights in the MAX HL 40 Swing Speed Series categories:

  • 45G: 73-80 MPH swing speed
  • 42G: 65-72 MPH
  • 40G: 65 MPH and below

The MAX HL Graphite wood shaft comes in seven eye-catching gloss finishes (Black Gloss, White Gloss, KBS Red Gloss, Chrome, Hot Pink, Light Blue & Rainbow) across three flex options (R, RS & S).

Played by more than 300 Tour players worldwide and partnered with all the leading golf club manufacturers, KBS offers 25 different shaft options across every club in the bag. This includes 10 iron variations, four dedicated wedge and putter shafts, plus Graphite shafts across wood, hybrid and iron options in different weights and flexes.

The KBS MAX HL wood shaft is available now at an RRP price of £115. For further details visit www.kbsgolfshafts.com or speak to your local PGA Professional or KBS custom fitter.
