-Event returned to the revered Serapong course after a four-year hiatus in April, and has now attracted a marquee sponsor in Deutsche Bank-

(Sentosa, Singapore) – Sentosa Golf Club’s place at the world’s top table of tournament venues was further underlined today as the DP World Tour and Asian Tour announced a co-sanctioned 2027 Deutsche Bank Singapore Open on The Serapong for 15-18 April.

Sentosa Golf Club’s signature 5th hole on The Serapong

Earlier this year, Sentosa again demonstrated its credentials as an elite tournament venue by staging three major championships, including the returning Singapore Open, across an eight-week period.

The continued commitment from the game’s leading tours reflects Sentosa’s standing as one of Asia’s premier championship venues. Consistently recognised among the world’s leading golf clubs, Sentosa combines championship course conditioning with its Tournament Ready 365 (TR365) agronomy philosophy and an industry-leading sustainability programme, setting new standards for how golf courses can be operated and maintained responsibly.

The announcement extends Sentosa’s storied legacy of hosting some of the world’s most iconic tournaments since the Singapore Open made its debut at The Serapong course on the Asian Tour in 2005, when Adam Scott captured the first of his three titles, before the marquee years from 2009-2012 when it was co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours.

The landmark announcement was given further impetus with the news that Deutsche Bank, a former backer of individual events on both the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour, will be the marquee sponsor for the event as it returns to top-level golf tournament sponsorship.

The world’s two leading tours announced last month they would partner with the Asian Tour to help provide commercial and playing opportunities, also establishing pathways for the leading Asian Tour members, with playing rights starting from the 2027 DP World Tour season.

The tripartite agreement will also pave the way for the co-sanctioning of select tournaments by the DP World Tour and Asian Tour, starting in 2027.

Andy Johnston, General Manager and Director of Agronomy at Sentosa Golf Club, said: “It is hugely gratifying that the hard work everyone from the team here puts in to create such an iconic venue, results in such a significant event as the Deutsche Bank Singapore Open returning to Sentosa, with the backing of some incredible partners.

“We are so excited to be partnering with the DP World Tour and Asian Tour to run an amazing event, and we are also hugely grateful that a sponsor of Deutsche Bank’s reputation will bring even greater standing to the event.”

Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, said: “The return of the Deutsche Bank Singapore Open to our schedule is an important milestone in our new tri-partite partnership with the Asian Tour and the PGA TOUR. Deutsche Bank’s investment as Title Partner will provide the foundation to grow this historic national Open, enhance the experience on and off the course, and maximise the economic impact of the event for many years to come.”

Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner & CEO, Asian Tour, said: “Sentosa Golf Club and the Singapore Open are inextricably linked. They have enjoyed working together on Singapore’s flagship event for 15 memorable years, while the Asian Tour is headquartered on Sentosa Island.

“We were thrilled to welcome the event back onto the schedule in 2025 after a two-year hiatus, delighted to see it return to Sentosa this year, and we eagerly anticipate it being elevated to a joint-sanctioned event next season with the DP World Tour. Partnering with Deutsche Bank will also give even greater prominence to what is one of the high points of the golfing year in Asia.”

Claudio de Sanctis, Deutsche Bank Management Board Member and Head of Private Bank, said: “Deutsche Bank is proud to be working with the DP World Tour to bring leading international talent in professional golf to Asia through the new Singapore Open. Partnering for this sporting event aligns strategically with Deutsche Bank’s commitment to fostering global talent, competitive skill and leadership. We are delighted to support this significant sporting event for golf fans around the Asia region, reflecting our deep commitment to Singapore and to sport as a means of creating connection and inspiring experiences for clients and the community.”
