36 holes, daily coaching ( limited to 3 people) and a full swing evaluation with Leadbetter senior instructor Santiago Mari — plus lunch at the Royal Blue Tavern. November 19–20 in Nassau. Here’s the complete picture.
Every November, the same thing happens. Courses go cart-path-only, range sessions get shorter, and by the time your season reopens in the spring, your swing needs a formal reintroduction to the ball.
Here’s a way to flip that script: instead of parking the game for the winter, spend two days in Nassau working on it. Royal Blue Golf Club at Baha Mar is hosting a two-day golf program on November 19–20 built around exactly that a round of golf each day, hands-on instruction every day, and a Jack Nicklaus Signature course as the classroom.
When : November 19–20, 2026
Two days. One stronger game.
The program is built as a progression, not a hit-and-pray clinic. Day one fixes what’s broken; day two makes it hold up under course conditions.
Day 1 Build your foundation
The first day is diagnosis and repair. Mari evaluates your swing, sharpens your fundamentals, and targets the parts of your game that need the most attention the idea being that practice turns into purposeful improvement when a coach is actually watching. Your first 18 holes at Royal Blue and lunch at the Royal Blue Tavern bookend the work.
Day 2 Take it to the course
Day two moves the lesson out of the hitting area and onto the golf course: shot selection, course management, and scoring, with guided instruction along the way. You leave with practical priorities — not a buffet of swing thoughts, but a short list of what to keep working when you’re back home.
The classroom: two courses in one
Royal Blue is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design the first Nicklaus Design course in the Bahamas and it plays like two different courses stitched together. The front nine runs along white sand dunes; the back nine climbs through a limestone “moonscape” with elevation changes and water views. It’s a par 72 that stretches past 7,100 yards from the tips, and Golfweek has ranked it the No. 1 course in the Bahamas.
Meet your instructor
Santiago Mari has been in the coaching game a long time. Born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, he turned pro at 19 and became a Class A member of the PGA of America in 2004. Today he’s a senior instructor with the Leadbetter Golf Academy, based in Naples and Miami, Florida the same Leadbetter family behind the chipping formula we’ve covered before. For this program, you get individualized instruction and a full swing evaluation from him across both days.
The fine print, honestly
- The $1,999 covers golf, instruction and lunch. Flights and hotel are on you accommodations aren’t included, but you’ll get a booking code for Baha Mar when you register.
- That works out to roughly $1,000 a day for two rounds, two lunches and two days of coaching from a PGA Class A professional worth comparing to what a single day of premium instruction runs near you.
- November 19–20 lands right as most of the U.S. map turns brown. If your season goes quiet in winter, this is the trip that keeps it honest.
