SQAIRZ Launches XRZ2™ Pickleball Shoe Built for Stability and Power

WINDHAM, NH — May 8, 2026 — SQAIRZ has announced the launch of the XRZ2™, the next evolution of its performance pickleball footwear, engineered to help players move more efficiently, stay stable, generate more power, and play better for longer.

As pickleball continues to grow rapidly, so do the physical demands of the game. With more players competing at higher levels and for longer periods of time, injuries across the sport are rising, driving a new level of focus on footwear that can support both performance and protection.

The XRZ2™ builds on SQAIRZ’s performance-first design philosophy, advancing the biomechanics-driven platform introduced in the original XRZ™ with key upgrades in structure, durability, comfort, and control.

“Pickleball injuries are at an all-time high, and most players are still wearing shoes that weren’t truly designed for how the game is played,” said Bob Winskowicz, Founder and CEO of SQAIRZ. “When you wear a shoe built specifically for pickleball, one that delivers real balance, stability, and rollover protection, you don’t just play better, you give yourself a better chance to play longer. That’s a core part of what we set out to solve with XRZ2™.”

Engineered for the Way Pickleball Is Played

Every element of the XRZ2™ is designed to support how players actually move on the court, from explosive push-offs and aggressive lateral cuts to controlled recovery and sustained movement through long matches.

At the core of the design is SQAIRZ’s geometrically engineered toe box, which promotes natural toe spread, enhanced balance, and more efficient ground-force transfer, while delivering a more accommodating fit across a wider range of foot shapes.

New to the XRZ2™ is the HexGuard™ hexagonal hot-melt overlay, reinforcing high-stress zones on the open-cell mesh upper to improve lateral stability and reduce unwanted foot movement during play.

This is complemented by arch anti-torsion support that helps control over-rotation, outrigger geometry that enhances balance through lateral motion, and a Sta-Put® lacing system that creates a more secure, locked-in fit.

Together, these elements create a more stable, controlled platform designed to support efficient movement and help reduce the types of breakdowns that can lead to common on-court injuries.

The Biggest Advancement Is Built Inside

Every XRZ2™ model features the Blumaka® Non-Slip Performance Footbed built directly into the shoe, a premium upgrade typically purchased separately.

SQAIRZ is currently the only multisport footwear brand to include a true non-slip performance footbed as a standard feature across its lineup.

Powered by Blumaka’s patented FoamLock™ technology, the footbed helps reduce internal foot movement, creating a more stable, connected feel during every step, stop, and directional change.

It also delivers enhanced cushioning and energy return, offering up to 14% greater energy return and 17% more cushioning versus standard insoles, while being produced with 85% recycled content, 99% less water, and a 65% lower carbon footprint.

Built for Performance. Designed for Versatility.

The XRZ2™ is available in both men’s and women’s models, each built on the same performance platform.

The women’s model introduces a premium suede heel and lifestyle-driven colorways designed to transition seamlessly beyond the court without sacrificing performance.

Across both models, the focus remains the same: stability, durability, and consistent performance when it matters most.

A New Standard for Pickleball Footwear

The XRZ2™ represents the next step in SQAIRZ’s commitment to building footwear based on biomechanics, performance data, and real-world player feedback.

By prioritizing stability, durability, and true ground connection, the XRZ2™ is designed to help players move with more confidence, maintain control in high-pressure moments, and perform more consistently over time.

The XRZ2™ is available now at sqairz.com.
