Apex, NC — On March 5, twenty-five leaders from the private golf and country club industry gathered at Westmoreland Country Club for a Golf Business Network (GBN) Leadership Retreat focused on the evolving challenges and opportunities facing today’s club professionals.
Led by Spencer Clouatre, Vice President of Education at Golf Business Network, the retreat brought together Golf Professionals, Directors of Golf, General Managers, and industry leaders for a collaborative discussion centered on leadership, staffing, and the future of the profession.
Throughout the session, attendees explored topics such as navigating ambiguity in leadership, evolving expectations around work-life balance, and how clubs can continue delivering exceptional member experiences while supporting the well-being and development of their teams. The retreat format encouraged open dialogue, with conversations continuing throughout the morning and into the afternoon over coffee and lunch.
