Breakthrough Golf Alliance Calls on Golf Community to Bid and Donate as Member for a Day Auction Nears Close

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Breakthrough Golf Alliance is encouraging golfers, club members, resort partners, and supporters of youth development to take part in its current Member for a Day online auction, a fundraising effort designed to help young golfers overcome financial barriers and pursue greater opportunity in the game. The Alliance’s mission centers on supporting talented players as they navigate the costs associated with competition, travel, and long-term development.

The current auction includes sought-after golf experiences and stay-and-play offerings, with listing pages featuring opportunities tied to destinations and clubs such as Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Latrobe Country Club, Cabot Citrus Farms, and French Lick Resort. Current item pages show the auction ending on April 6 at 1:00 a.m.

“This auction is about more than bucket-list golf,” said Brendon Elliott, PGA Professional and Executive Director of The Breakthrough Golf Alliance. “Every bid helps create opportunity for a young golfer who may have the talent and drive to succeed, but not always the financial means to access the next step.”

Originally launched as the Little Linksters Association for Junior Golf Development and later evolving into the Breakthrough Golf Alliance as an independent 501(c)(3), the organization has continued to focus on helping young players access the support they need to keep moving forward in the game.

In addition to encouraging supporters to bid before the auction closes, the Breakthrough Golf Alliance is also inviting donations of future golf experiences. Private club members, club leaders, and resort representatives are encouraged to consider contributing threesomes, foursomes, or resort stay-and-play packages to support future fundraising efforts.

“These donated experiences do more than create memorable days for winning bidders,” said Elliott. “They help fund real pathways for young golfers with promise.”

Supporters can learn more, place bids, and explore available packages by visiting https://memberforaday.com/npo/breakthrough-golf-alliance. Those interested in donating future experiences or partnering with the Breakthrough Golf Alliance are encouraged to make those pledges here: https://memberforaday.com/host-a-round/109.
