Our Why: Changing the Face of Practice

We created Practice Coach Golf to empower golfers to practice with clarity and discipline—whether developing critical skills or improving their swing.

Here’s what’s curious: many golfers obsess over their swing (the engine of their golf Ferrari) and expect the steering wheel to be there effortlessly and automatically.

Folks, this just isn’t true.

Large movements in the swing can dramatically improve your swing shape, low point, and speed. But club face control? That’s an entirely different skill.

Here’s the reality: Golfers at all levels move with astonishing consistency. Their club face control is what creates inconsistency.

Think about that. With this knowledge, imagine spending all your time working on large movements while completely ignoring the club face. Yet that’s exactly what most golfers do.

Practice That Actually Works

We created Practice Coach to help you practice far more effectively and efficiently than ever before. From skill development to movement improvement, Practice Coach has you covered.

The result? You’ll finally have the structure and clarity to work toward playing the golf of your dreams.

The Three Rules of Swing Changes

As a professional coach working with competitive amateurs, I spend considerable time helping students improve their motion. Before making any swing change, you need clarity on one fundamental question: Why?

There are only three valid reasons to make a swing change:

  1. To improve club delivery
  2. To avoid or alleviate injury
  3. To swing the club faster

Before you get started, KNOW WHY you want to make a change and KNOW WHAT the expected outcome is. Without this clarity, you’re just guessing. Practice Coach Eliminates the Guessing.

Why Swing Changes Fail

Over my years of coaching, I’ve seen students struggle with swing changes for the same reasons again and again:

  1. They lose focus at some point during the swing
  2. They practice at speeds where they can’t tell what they’re doing
  3. They trust their feel rather than use feedback
  4. They evaluate ball flight way too soon and take their focus off their movement

That last one is critical. Ball flight should only be added when there’s clear evidence of correct movement. Otherwise, golfers revert to the same old patterns and waste valuable practice time.

I wanted a better way. A way for my students to practice effectively when I’m not there with them. We spent two years developing Practice Coach to create the gold standard in practice design.

Just follow along—you can’t practice wrong.

Technique Matters: The Work on My Swing Module

We designed this module with ruthless organization and discipline.

Here’s how it works:

You and your coach identify an area for improvement—let’s say low point control. The low point is the deepest part of your divot, where the club’s arc bottoms out. Perhaps something in your backswing moves the low point too far behind the ball. Your hips sway away from the target, making it difficult to consistently strike ball-then-turf—a foundational ball-striking skill.

The Work on My Swing module guides you through the solution.

Feel Ain’t Real

The module takes you through structured movement and speed variations grounded in motor learning science. These variations are designed to get you moving better, fast.

The breakthrough: Through systematic variations and video feedback, you’ll develop genuine feel for the correct movement. You’ll discover exactly how much exaggeration you need to align what you feel with what’s actually real.

Got Skills? We Help You Master Every Facet

Technique is only half the equation. Practice Coach helps you develop the critical skills needed for each part of the game.

From driving to approach shots, putting to short game, and even those trouble shots that can save your round—we provide structured, science-backed practice for every skill that impacts your score.

Each skill gets the attention it deserves, in priority order, based on what matters most to your game. No more guessing what to work on or how long to spend on it.
