The 2026 Solheim Cup begins on Sept. 7 in Bernadus, Netherlands, where the European team will be looking to avenge a 15.5-12.5 loss to the United States two years ago in Virginia.
Prior to the American victory in 2024, the Europeans had dominated the competition, retaining the cup three straight times (two wins and a tie), with the United States having not won in back-to-back events since 2015 and 2017.
U.S. captain Angela Stanford will try to change that, while Anna Nordqvist will captain the European side looking to defend home soil for a third consecutive time. On Monday, the complete United States team was revealed, with nine automatic qualifiers and three captain’s picks made by Stanford.

Headlining the U.S. team is world No. 1 Nelly Korda, who dominated the LPGA Tour this season with four wins — including two major titles — along with three runner-up finishes. Korda will be joined by three other women from the top 25 in the world rankings — Lauren Coughlin (No. 18), Auston Kim (No. 22) and Angel Yin (No. 25).
As for Stanford’s captain’s picks, she chose Lindy Duncan, Meghan Khang and Rose Zhang. Duncan will be making her Solheim Cup debut at 35 years old, while Khang has dominated the team format with a 7-3-3 record in her four previous appearances. Zhang is a particularly interesting choice as the former phenom has slipped to 66th in the world rankings, but was incredible for the 2024 squad, going 4-0 in her matches and Stanford will hope she can tap into that form again.

The European squad is a fascinating mix of Solheim Cup veterans and rookies, as Nordqvist will have four players making their Solheim Cup debuts in the Netherlands. Three of them — Julia López Ramírez, Nastasia Nadaud and Mimi Rhodes — were captain’s picks by Nordqvist. The other was Leona Maguire, who was one of the leaders on the 2021 and 2023 European squads.
The other rookie is Lottie Woad, who has become one of the LPGA Tour’s best since turning pro last year, earning an automatic qualifier spot after climbing to 6th in the world rankings. She will join Charley Hull (No. 7) as the two top 10 players in the world rankings on the European roster. Hull comes in with tons of Solheim Cup experience, as she and Carlota Ciganda will serve as the two most-experienced veterans on the squad.
