Johanna Clark Appointed Senior Director of Development and Drake Sacenti Joins as Director of Development to Accelerate Organization’s Impact

Monterey, Calif. – Youth on Course, the nonprofit organization providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf, today announced the addition of two key leaders to its philanthropy team: Drake Sacenti as Director of Development and Johanna Clark as Senior Director of Development.

The appointments come during a period of transformative growth for Youth on Course as the organization continues to expand access to golf and create pathways to education, mentorship, and leadership for young people across the country.

“We are thrilled to welcome both Drake and Johanna to the Youth on Course development team,” said Ashley Offermann, Chief Development Officer of Youth on Course. “Their combined experience in philanthropic leadership, donor engagement, and sports fundraising will be instrumental as we build the resources needed to expand our reach and ensure financial barriers never prevent young people from accessing the game of golf and the life-changing opportunities connected to it.”

Johanna Clark joins Youth on Course as Senior Director of Development, bringing more than a decade of experience in athletics fundraising, major gifts, donor engagement, and market development. She previously held development roles with the V Foundation for Cancer Research, Washington State University Athletics, and San Diego State University Athletics, where she focused on building meaningful relationships, growing philanthropic support, and connecting donors to missions that create lasting impact.

As a former student-athlete, Clark understands the power of sport to offer access, build confidence, foster lifelong relationships, and create opportunities for young people. In her new role, she will focus on expanding Youth on Course’s presence in Arizona and across the greater Southwest while advancing the organization’s mission to make the game more inclusive and accessible.

Drake Sacenti joined Youth on Course as Director of Development in August 2026, bringing nearly a decade of fundraising and development leadership from collegiate athletics and the national governing body space. Prior to joining Youth on Course, Sacenti served as Director of Development for USA Baseball, where he built and managed the organization’s fundraising programs from the ground up, overseeing the strategy, implementation, and execution of all giving initiatives. Before that, he spent nearly three years at the University of Houston as Associate Athletics Director for Development, following earlier development roles at Oregon State University and the University of Nevada, Reno. Across every stop, Sacenti has focused on building donor relationships and giving programs that translate directly into opportunity for student-athletes and young people.

“It is an honor to join Youth on Course and support a mission that aligns so deeply with my passion for youth development and sports,” said Clark. “Golf teaches invaluable life lessons in discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence. I look forward to connecting with donors and partners across the Southwest and beyond to create even more pathways for young people to thrive both on and off the course.”

“I’m thrilled to join Youth on Course and contribute to an organization making such a profound impact on youth,” said Sacenti. “Dedicated to creating sports opportunities, I’ve seen how these programs shape futures. I look forward to growing our giving programs and donor relationships within the Bay Area to expand access to golf and its life-changing benefits nationwide.”

Since its founding in 2006, Youth on Course has lowered the barrier of entry for young golfers, providing rounds for $5 or less across thousands of partner courses. The organization now boasts more than 400,000 members across the United States, Canada, and Australia, and has subsidized more than 6 million rounds of golf to date.

Beyond access to the golf course, Youth on Course provides members with access to college scholarships, career development programs, leadership opportunities, and an active Alumni Network. With these new leadership additions, the organization is uniquely positioned to accelerate its philanthropic momentum and deepen its impact nationwide.
