The Stack System Surpasses 50 Million Recorded Swings, Fueling the Next Generation of Personalized Speed Training.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ  – The Stack System today announced that golfers have surpassed 50 million recorded swings, marking a milestone that reflects both the platform’s rapid growth and more than two decades of scientific research into how golfers develop speed.

What began as biomechanics research in a university laboratory has evolved into one of golf’s largest ongoing collections of standardized speed-training data. With tens of thousands of golfers completing structured training programs and every swing measured with objective performance data, The Stack System has created a continuous cycle of research, validation, and improvement that benefits every golfer using the platform.

Unlike traditional speed training programs that prescribe the same workouts for every player, The Stack System builds personalized training plans based on each golfer’s individual speed profile, progress, and response to training. The growing volume of standardized performance data has allowed the company to continually refine and validate its programming, ensuring that recommendations become increasingly effective over time.

“When I started studying golf biomechanics in a university lab more than two decades ago, the goal was simply to understand how golfers create speed,” said Dr. Sasho MacKenzie, co-founder of The Stack System. “Today, that research has grown into something I never imagined. More than 50 million measured swings from tens of thousands of golfers have allowed us to bridge the gap between laboratory science and real-world performance. Every day we’re testing ideas, validating principles, and refining our programming using reliable quantitative data collected under standardized training. It’s an ongoing cycle of improvement—we’re continually learning what works, and that knowledge immediately benefits every golfer using The Stack.”

The Stack System’s approach combines individualized software with purpose-built hardware. Every golfer begins with objective baseline testing before receiving personalized workout recommendations based on their current abilities and training history. The company’s patented Stack club, featuring 30 adjustable weight configurations, enables golfers to perform precisely prescribed overload and underload training with a single club.

“The software only works because the hardware makes individualized training possible,” said Marty Jertson, co-founder of The Stack System, Director of Product Development at PING, and one of golf’s leading club designers. “The Stack club’s adjustable weighting system gives every golfer a wide range of training loads using a single club, allowing the app to prescribe workouts that are truly personalized. More recently, Stack Radar has made the experience seamless by automatically measuring every swing through Bluetooth, turning speed training into something that’s both effortless and engaging. The hardware and software were designed together from the beginning, and that’s what allows the system to deliver such a personalized experience.”

Today, The Stack System is used by golfers of every ability level—from recreational players seeking more distance to major champions, PGA TOUR professionals, elite instructors, college programs, and national teams. The platform’s scientific foundation, combined with its personalized approach, has established The Stack as one of golf’s leading performance training systems.

Speed Training Now Available on Android

Coinciding with the 50-million-swing milestone, The Stack System has expanded its speed training platform to Android, making its personalized training experience available to an even broader community of golfers.

Android users can now complete baseline testing, follow guided speed training sessions, receive individualized programming, track progress, and access The Stack Learning Library through the Android web app.

“Making The Stack available on Android is another step toward our goal of making evidence-based speed training accessible to every golfer,” said Jertson. “Whether someone trains on iOS or Android, they’ll receive the same personalized programming built on years of scientific research and millions of measured swings.”

As participation continues to grow, every training session contributes to the ongoing refinement of The Stack System’s programming—advancing the science of golf performance while helping golfers of all skill levels unlock more speed and distance.
