SQAIRZ Unveils the 2026 GFP2™ Baseball and Softball Lineup

WINDHAM, NH – SQAIRZ today announced the launch of its 2026 GFP2™ Baseball and Softball footwear lineup, the next generation of the brand’s Ground Force Production cleat platform. Following a breakthrough first year in the sport, the new lineup pushes SQAIRZ’s patented performance technology even further with upgraded materials, reinforced durability systems, and an enhanced internal performance platform designed specifically for baseball movement.

The new GFP2™ lineup consists of Metal, Molded, and Turf models, each engineered for different playing environments while sharing the same biomechanically driven foundation that has quickly made SQAIRZ one of the most talked-about cleats in the game.

The launch follows a remarkable first year in baseball and softball for SQAIRZ. The brand secured major partnerships across the game including:

Official On-Field Footwear Partner of Minor League Players
Officially Licensed Footwear Partner of MLB Players, Inc.
Official Footwear Partner of Perfect Game
The Official Shoe of Diamond Allegiance

SQAIRZ cleats are now worn by more than 200 Minor League and Major League players, including Alex Call, as well as athletes from the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers organization, reflecting the rapid adoption of the brand’s biomechanically engineered cleat platform across professional baseball.

Building on that momentum, SQAIRZ engineers spent the offseason working directly with MLB players and equipment professionals to strengthen the cleat platform and push its performance capabilities further. The result is GFP2™, a redesigned system built to handle the real stresses of the game while maximizing the power athletes generate from the ground.

“Our first year in baseball confirmed that athletes respond to footwear engineered around biomechanics and ground-force science,” said Bob Winskowicz, Founder and CEO of SQAIRZ. “GFP2™ represents the next step forward. We strengthened the materials, reinforced durability where baseball destroys cleats, and improved the internal performance system. The result is a cleat platform that helps athletes stay more stable, generate more force, and maintain performance deep into games.”

Intentional Materials, Purpose-Built Construction

One of the most significant upgrades is the introduction of ProTect™ Hot-Melt Structural Overlay, a new abrasion-resistant reinforcement system designed to solve one of baseball’s most persistent equipment problems: toe drag.

The ProTect™ overlay uses a textured polyurethane coating and asymmetrical medial reinforcement to form a protective barrier across the highest-wear zones of the shoe. A sand-textured finish increases abrasion resistance while maintaining flexibility and structural integrity.

The cleat’s internal structure continues to be anchored by the Integrated Heel-to-Arch Stabilizer, a patented system running externally from the heel and internally along the plantar fascia. This design helps resist torsional twisting while stabilizing the foot during lateral movement, explosive acceleration, and rotational actions.

Underfoot, the platform is supported by the NRG Foam™ midsole, a lightweight cushioning system engineered for responsive energy return and long-game comfort. The Sta-Put™ Lacing System secures the foot from above with silicone grip elements that keep laces locked in place without constant adjustment.

Together these technologies create a stable performance platform designed to improve balance, traction, and ground-force transfer during swings, pitching mechanics, and defensive movement.

Blumaka® Non_Slip Performance Footbed

The upgrade in all SQAIRZ 2026 models happens inside the shoe. Every model now includes the Blumaka® Non_Slip Performance Footbed, strengthening the connection between the athlete and the cleat platform. The technology delivers approximately 14% higher energy return compared with traditional insoles and 17% more cushioning while maintaining structural stability and durability.

The non-slip construction helps limit internal foot movement during explosive actions, keeping the athlete more securely connected to the cleat platform. Durability testing shows the foam structure is engineered for more than 1,000 miles of athletic use, maintaining cushioning and rebound over extended play.

Explosive sports demand a stable foundation. Players have already recorded measurable gains in sprint speed, throwing velocity, and balance while wearing SQAIRZ cleats. Integrating Blumaka technology strengthens that internal platform and helps maintain consistent ground connection deep into games and long seasons.

About SQAIRZ

SQAIRZ designs performance footwear built around biomechanical principles and independent validation. Known for its patented roomier toe box, stability-driven platforms, and ground-force focused engineering, SQAIRZ develops footwear for athletes seeking measurable performance advantages across golf, baseball, softball, and pickleball.

Studies conducted on SQAIRZ cleats were recommended for manuscript publication by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), making SQAIRZ the first baseball footwear company to achieve this level of clinical validation. When tested in comparison to the top legacy brands, the studies revealed:

  • +2.7 MPH (Professional)
  • +3.0 MPH (Collegiate)
  • +1.8 MPH (High School)

The only change in testing conditions was the footwear. All performance improvements were attributed directly to SQAIRZ’s patented technology.

The SQAIRZ GFP2™ Baseball and Softball lineup is available in Metal, Molded, and Turf models in sizes for men, women, and youth athletes.
