Softspikes Extends PGA Tour Streak to 25 Consecutive Wins

Brentwood, Tenn.,   – Softspikes has extended one of the most dominant equipment stories in golf, with the winner of the Travelers Championship becoming the 25th consecutive PGA TOUR champion this season to trust replaceable spikes.

The latest victory came in dramatic fashion at TPC River Highlands, where the champion secured the title in a Monday playoff while wearing Silver Tornado spikes in a pair of Nike golf shoes.

It continues a remarkable run for replaceable traction on the PGA TOUR, with every winner so far this season choosing spikes over spikeless footwear. The streak now stands at 25 consecutive weeks, underlining the continued preference for proven grip, stability and performance at the highest level of the game.

“Twenty-five consecutive PGA TOUR wins is a powerful statement,” said Joe Henderson, President of Softspikes. “Every week, the best players in the world are making a clear performance choice, and that choice continues to be replaceable spikes. Silver Tornado has been trusted in some of the biggest moments in golf, and this latest win is another reminder of the traction, stability and confidence spikes provide when it matters most.”

Softspikes also claimed further victories on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR Champions, with the winner of the DS Automobiles 83° Open d’Italia wearing Pulsar and ProStinger spikes in FootJoy shoes, while the winner of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open wore Pulsar spikes in FootJoy shoes.

From the PGA TOUR to the DP World Tour and senior game, the results continue to point in the same direction: when trophies are on the line, players are choosing spikes.

Tour players routinely change spikes based on course conditions, but many amateur golfers overlook traction’s impact on consistency and distance. For optimal performance, golfers should replace spikes every 15 rounds.
