New Jersey Golf Foundation Awards Ryan Maciorowski with Prestigious Peter Famiano Memorial Scholarship

Neptune City Resident and Wardlaw Hartridge Multi-Sport Student-Athlete to Attend Western Carolina University

Bedminster, N.J. – The New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF), the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America (NJPGA), today announced Ryan Maciorowski as the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Peter Famiano Memorial Scholarship. Maciorowski was recognized at the 18th Annual New Jersey Golf Foundation Peter Famiano Memorial Pro-Am, held on June 11th at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.

Peter Famiano was the Head Golf Professional at Crestmont Country Club for over 35 years. In his honor, the NJGF created the Peter Famiano Memorial Scholarship to recognize New Jersey junior golfers for their professionalism, integrity, volunteerism, and willingness to help others. The $2,500 annual scholarship is open to college students of any class year, provided they continue to meet the standards set forth by the NJGF Scholarship Committee. Applications are evaluated on academic achievement, leadership, financial need, volunteer service, and golf involvement.

The ultimate competitor, Maciorowski, a senior at Wardlaw Hartridge High School, has competed in five varsity Sports (Golf, Basketball, Baseball, Cross Country, Track & Field), while also serving as a Peer Leader at the school. Additionally, The Neptune City resident is a member of the Boy Scouts of Troop 71 in Oakhurst, where he regularly volunteers his time at a local food pantry, cleans trash from a lake and

replaces flags at the gravesite of Veterans, among other volunteer responsibilities. Maciorowski will be attending Western Carolina University in the fall.

“A multi-sport varsity athlete, an active Boy Scout, and a dedicated volunteer within his community, Ryan Maciorowski has consistently demonstrated leadership, discipline, and a commitment to serving others,” said Chris Hunt, Executive Director, NJ Golf Foundation. “Ryan’s achievements reflect the values ofhard work, character, and perseverance that Peter Famiano embodied throughout his life, and we are proud to recognize his accomplishments and look forward to following his success in college and beyond.”
