Taylor, Michigan   — Golfers in the Detroit metro area have a new reason to visit the driving range at Midway Sports & Entertainment. The long-standing entertainment destination has upgraded its practice facility with the installation of the world-leading automated teeing system from Power Tee in every hitting bay.

The installation allows golfers to practice more efficiently by automatically teeing a ball at the push of a button, allowing golfers to maintain a consistent stance and rhythm while reducing physical strain on high-quality hitting surfaces. The result is a smoother, more comfortable practice experience that keeps players focused on their swing.

The installation of 50 Power Tee auto-teeing systems arrives during a milestone year for both companies. In 2026, Midway Sports & Entertainment celebrates 75 years in business, while Power Tee marks 30 years since introducing its groundbreaking auto-tee technology to driving ranges around the world.

“We’re proud to partner with Midway Sports & Entertainment as they celebrate such an incredible milestone,” said Martin Wyeth, Founder of Power Tee. “For 30 years, Power Tee has helped golf facilities create a better practice experience for golfers while modernizing their ranges. Installing Power Tee in every bay demonstrates Midway’s commitment to investing in the best possible experience for their customers.”

For Jason Kroll, owner of Midway Sports & Entertainment, the investment reflects the facility’s commitment to continuous improvement as it celebrates its legacy in the community.

“Midway has been part of this community for 75 years, and we’re always looking for ways to make the experience better for our customers,” said Kroll. “Installing Power Tee across our entire driving range gives golfers a modern practice experience that you typically only see at top facilities. We’re excited for local golfers to come out and try it.”

The addition of Power Tee technology places Midway’s driving range among a growing number of modernized practice facilities worldwide that are adopting automation to improve comfort and efficiency for players.

Located just outside Detroit in Taylor, Midway Sports & Entertainment has been a local favorite for generations of families and golfers alike. With the new Power Tee systems now installed throughout the range, the facility invites golfers of all skill levels to experience a more advanced and enjoyable way to practice.

As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, Midway Sports & Entertainment is offering local golfers a seasonal membership in the ‘1951 Club’ from March to October every year. At $20 per month, members receive:

  • 25% Discount on all range baskets.
  • Early Access: Entry to the facility one hour prior to general admission.
  • Value-Driven: Membership costs are fully recouped in just five visits per month.
