Kapolei, Hawai‘i  – Kapolei Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawai‘i on the island of Oahu, is pleased to welcome Greg Champion as the club’s new general manager. As general manager, Champion will oversee golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage as well as sales and marketing for the award-winning 18-hole daily-fee facility.

Champion has 20-plus years of leadership experience in hospitality, business development, and global travel partnerships.  He most recently served as general manager and head of operations at The LineUp at Wai Kai, where he led the launch and operational scaling of the surf-park, restaurants, and lagoon attractions. Prior to Wai Kai, Champion served as general manager and director of business development for The Resort Group in Ko Olina, overseeing commercial resort operations including marina operations, resort and activity sales services, and multiple hotel and asset management projects. Throughout his career he has launched and scaled numerous high-visibility resort ventures and worked alongside partners such as Four Seasons Ko Olina, Ko Olina Golf, and Beach Villas at Ko Olina

“Kapolei Golf Club is a special place with deep roots in West Oahu,” said Champion, a longtime resident of Kapolei. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead this incredible team and continue strengthening our connection with local families, businesses, and partners throughout Hawai‘i. As someone who deeply loves Hawai‘i and its communities, stepping into this role is both humbling and energizing. Kapolei Golf Club has extraordinary potential, and I’m thrilled to work alongside our dedicated team to help it flourish.”

In his spare time, Champion loves to surf and play golf, while also serving on the governing board of the Hawaii Technology Academy. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is a Six Sigma Project Management Black Belt.
