Carlsbad, CA – Pro’s Choice Golf Shafts, Inc. announced today that the winner of the PGA Tour Champions Principal Charity Classic event, held at Waconda Club in Des Moines, IA, was playing a Graphite Design Tour AD IZ-6 X-Stiff flex wood shaft in his Titleist Driver.  The champion shot a 3-day score of 69, 63, 67 for a score of 17 under par, claiming his second PGA TOUR Champions title.

“Congratulations to the champion of the 2026 Principal Charity Classic.  We are proud that he chose to play a Graphite Design shaft in his Driver and grateful to be part of another championship-winning performance,” stated Bill McPherson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Pro’s Choice Golf Shafts, Inc.

The Graphite Design Tour AD IZ – “Into the Zone”, designed and manufactured at Graphite Design Japan’s factory headquarters, features a stealthy black appearance with white/orange accents and a sleek new matte finish.  The Tour AD IZ shafts are available in 40g R2, R1, and S flex, 50g R2, R, S, and X flex, 60g SR, S, X, and TX flex, 70g S, X, and TX flex, and 80g S and X flex.

Like all the premium Tour AD wood shafts, the Tour AD IZ utilizes premium, aerospace-quality 50t carbon-fiber materials to deliver the best-feeling, performing shaft available to golfers.

The Tour AD IZ shaft is firm in the handle, with a medium center section and a firm+ tip profile to promote a high launch angle and low/mid-ball spin rates.  The Tour AD IZ also utilizes TORAYCA® T1100G carbon-fiber pre-preg with NANOALLOY® technology in the tip section of the shaft for additional shaft stability, exceptional feel, and precise ball control.
