New functionality helps eliminate bottlenecks and enhances the tournament day experience for organizers and participants

Lincoln, NE  — GolfStatus, the industry’s leading event management platform for charity golf tournaments and fundraisers, has released a new team check-in feature, designed to simplify and modernize the day-of registration process for golf events.

Tournament day check-in has traditionally relied on static printouts and manual processes, which can lead to delays and confusion, especially when large groups arrive at the same time. Without real-time visibility across registration stations, organizers can struggle to quickly access accurate participant information, creating unnecessary bottlenecks at the start of the event.

GolfStatus’ new check-in feature addresses this challenge by embedding the entire process directly into its tournament management software. Team and player information is centralized, and check-ins update instantly across all connected devices with no refreshing required.

“When registration runs smoothly, it sets the tone for the entire event,” said Steve Mattern, Chief Operating Officer at GolfStatus. “This feature was built to eliminate a common pain point for tournament organizers and give them the tools they need to create a seamless, professional experience from the moment participants arrive at the event.”

With the new functionality, organizers and volunteers can check teams in using a laptop or mobile device with internet access. As each team is checked in, a live counter updates in real-time across devices, enabling multiple registration stations to operate efficiently without duplication or confusion and organizers to monitor check-in status at a glance from anywhere on the course.

Users can access the check-in feature at multiple points within the software, filter participants by round, and search across all golfers, eliminating the need to sift through printed lists—and significantly reducing wait times.

“We listen to our clients, and the check-in feature is one more way GolfStatus is delivering on our mission to help tournament organizers save time, reduce stress, and create better event experiences that drive more revenue for their causes,” said Mattern.

GolfStatus offers access to its platform—which includes event websites, online registration, secure payment processing, live scoring and leaderboards, Fundraising Enhancers, Rewards, and in-house support seven days a week—at no upfront cost. Tournament organizers are encouraged to visit golfstatus.com to learn more about the software or book a demo with its team of golf fundraising experts to get started.

Now that Rewards is a thing, we should fold that into either our boiler or the ending CTA.

Added FR and Rewards to the CTA block…I want to think more about how to fold it into the boilerplate, so let’s stick with the current version for this release.
