SAN DIEGO, CA  — Future Champions Golf (FCG) is excited to announce a new video series in partnership with one of YouTube golf’s most recognized creators, Mr. Short Game, who will be competing in Future Champions Golf Tour events across multiple age divisions as part of a new content initiative designed to showcase junior golf and continue growing the game.

The series will begin Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the FCG Kids Tour event at Welk Resorts, where Mr. Short Game will compete in the 7–8 division. The series will continue throughout the year as he attempts to compete — and win — across multiple age divisions on the Future Champions Golf Tour.

A Full Circle Moment with Future Champions Golf

What makes this series especially meaningful is Mr. Short Game’s long history with Future Champions Golf. Years ago, he spent many weekends caddying for his own children at Future Champions Golf tournaments, creating family memories and watching junior golfers grow through competition.

Matt Fisher, known online as Mr. Short Game, grew up in San Diego and played collegiate golf at San Diego State University, and has long been a supporter of junior golf and competitive tournament opportunities for young players.

In a message to Future Champions Golf families, Fisher shared:

“Having spent many hours caddying for my kids on the golf course, I am grateful for the great memories that the Future Champions Golf Tour provided for our family. Having grown up in San Diego myself and playing for San Diego State University, I love supporting junior tournament tours that prepare our kids for competitive golf and provide a place for enjoying this great sport.

I’m filming a series where I compete in the Future Champions Golf Tour, and I’m hoping together we can make a great video series and help support the Future Champions Tour along the way.”

This series represents a full circle moment, returning to the same tour where his own kids competed — this time to help showcase junior golf to a global audience.

A Huge Platform to Showcase Junior Golf

Mr. Short Game’s YouTube channel has grown into one of the most recognized golf content platforms in the world, with over 500,000 subscribers and more than 100 million video views. His content reaches golfers across the United States and internationally, making this series a major opportunity to showcase junior golf and the Future Champions Golf Tour to a global audience.

Through this series, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at junior tournaments, competition, course management, pressure situations, and the incredible skill level of today’s junior golfers.

Showcasing the Next Generation of Golf

Future Champions Golf hosts over 200 tournaments annually with players from across the United States and more than 40 countries worldwide, and continues to grow as one of the largest and most competitive junior golf tours in the world.

This new video series will:

  • Showcase junior golf tournaments and competition
  • Highlight the talent level of young players
  • Bring more exposure to junior golf globally
  • Inspire younger players to compete and improve
  • Provide entertaining and educational golf content
  • Help grow the game of golf

Quote from Chris Smeal, Founder of Future Champions Golf

“We are very excited to have Mr. Short Game out on the Future Champions Golf Tour filming and competing in our events. This is going to be a fun and exciting series, but it also serves a bigger purpose — showcasing junior golf and how much the game has grown over the years.

The talent level in junior golf today is incredible, and this series will give people a great look at what these young players can really do. We believe this will inspire more kids to play competitive golf and help continue to grow the game.”
