Oak Forest, Ill. – Forest Preserve Golf has been selected as the new home for the Chicago State University Cougars Men’s and Women’s Golf teams through the 2027 season.
The new partnership is highlighted by the inaugural Windy City Classic NCAA invitational, scheduled for October 5-6 at George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest, Illinois. The event marks a significant collaboration between Forest Preserve Golf and Chicago State University, aiming to further elevate and promote collegiate golf in the region.
George W. Dunne National recently completed a comprehensive bunker renovation, enhancing the course’s playability and aesthetic appeal. The renovation included reshaping and reducing bunkers, installing new drainage systems, and reinforcing foundations to ensure long-term durability.
The Windy City Classic will commence with a kickoff event at GOLFZON Social in Oak Brook, Illinois, on Saturday, October 3, from 2-5 p.m. This gathering will offer an opportunity for participants, coaches, and fans to engage in a relaxed setting before the tournament begins.
