Suffolk, United Kingdom – Bernhard and Company, a global leader in turf maintenance solutions and grinding machine innovation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rod Mortimer as Technical Sales Manager – Northern North America.

Rod joins the Bernhard and Company North America team alongside Daryl Nagy and Emily Casey, further strengthening the company’s support network for customers across the region.

With 25 years’ experience in the turf industry, Rod brings extensive hands-on expertise and a deep understanding of the demands placed on modern turf operations. He spent the first 20 years of his career as an Equipment Manager, before moving into a Superintendent role over the past five years. Notably, Rod dedicated 20 of those 25 years to one club, building long-term insight into the importance of consistency, reliability, and performance in turf maintenance.

In his new role, Rod will work closely with customers to provide technical guidance, product support, and expertise across Bernhard and Company’s market-leading grinding solutions, helping turf professionals achieve exceptional results with maximum efficiency.

Commenting on the appointment, Steven Nixon, Managing Director for Bernhard and Company, said: “Rod’s experience across both equipment management and superintendent leadership gives him a rare perspective on what turf teams need day-to-day. His technical knowledge, combined with his passion for the industry, makes him an excellent addition to the Bernhard and Company family.”

Rod Mortimer added: “I’ve spent most of my career in the turf industry and I’m excited to bring that experience into a role where I can support others in achieving the highest standards. Bernhard and Company has a strong reputation for innovation and performance, and I’m looking forward to working with customers across Northern North America.”
