RAKBANK has been announced as a partner at the upcoming Ras Al Khaimah Championship set to take place at the picturesque Al Hamra Golf Club on January 25-28.

The highly-anticipated tournament will mark the third consecutive year the DP World Tour has hosted the event in RAKBANK’s home emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and it promises to be another unmissable week of sporting action.

The partnership between RAKBANK and the Ras Al Khaimah Championship reflects the bank’s continued commitment to supporting sporting events and fostering community engagement within the region.

Raheel Ahmed, Group CEO of RAKBANK, said: “We are pleased to support the DP World Tour’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship in our home emirate. This collaboration resonates with our values of promoting sportsmanship, engaging with our community, and enhancing the local sports landscape. We anticipate an exciting tournament that celebrates talent and camaraderie.”

Daniel Gavins held on to win the Ras al Khaimah Championship in 2023

Tom Phillips, Head of Middle East for the DP World Tour, added: “We are thrilled to have RAKBANK partner with the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, aligning with the DP World Tour’s vision of continuing to grow and expand golf in the Middle East while engaging with local businesses.”

A host of high-profile players are set to tee it up at Al Hamra at the end of the month, including the likes of nine-time DP World Tour winner Pablo Larrazábal and defending champion Daniel Gavins.

They will be joined by some of the DP World Tour’s next generation of exciting talent with Rasmus Højgaard, Dan Bradbury and Alex Fitzpatrick also set to take part in the highly-anticipated event.

The Championship Village is set to host a plethora of food trucks from the UAE’s favourite eateries, while fun children’s activities and live music on each tournament day will keep the whole family entertained in what is certain to be another memorable week of golf in the UAE.

Fans can enjoy free general admission to the Ras Al Khaimah Championship and can register for tickets here. Spectators can also upgrade their experience with tickets available for the Championship Chalet, which overlooks the 18th green, from AED 945, or the Clubhouse Terrace, from AED 160.
