Titleist Roll Out New Trufeel And Tour Soft Balls

Titleist is launching updated versions of two of its most popular entry level and mid-range balls, the TruFeel and the Tour Soft, both of which will be available to buy from February 2.

Titleist TruFeel

The 2024 iteration of the TruFeel, the softest Titleist ball, is designed to provide long distance and increased greenside spin and control – with an ultra-soft feel on every shot – through advanced core and cover technologies.

A new core formulation combines long distance and fast ball speeds with a very soft feel off the clubface, while a thicker, yet softer cover delivers increased greenside spin for more short game control. A spherically tiled 376 tetrahedral dimple design offers a penetrating, low ball flight for longer overall distance.

“With new TruFeel, our goal was to keep what people love about the product and deliver even more performance in the short game,” said Mike Madson, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball R&D. “That softer, thicker cover is going to give golfers a little more greenside spin and performance. The reformulated core gives players long distance and soft feel.“

Priced at £26 per dozen, TruFeel balls will be offered in three colours – White (Feb 2), Yellow (March 1), 2024 with Matte Red (May 15).

Titleist Tour Soft

Faster core technology and a reformulated cover drives improved all-around performance in the new Tour Soft, providing golfers with longer distance off the tee and increased spin into the green – with an exceptionally soft feel off the club face.

It features a new, large core that increases ball speed and distance off the tee while providing soft feel on every shot. The 1.608-inch diameter of the core makes it the largest ionomer-covered core in the market.

Engineered over Tour Soft’s core is its thin FusaBlend cover which has been reformulated to increase spin and control into and around the greens. Fusablend is a proprietary combination of ionomers and softening polymers used to create a cover material with spin performance and feel that is unmatched among other ionomer covers.

“The core is the engine of the golf ball, and that’s where a ball gets its speed,” said Madson. “Manufacturing a 1.608 core is not an easy task, but the advantages it delivers in on-course performance is tremendous. The larger core gives the ball even more of its fastest material and allows for exceptional speed in the long game. Then when you get into your scoring clubs, Tour Soft’s Fusablend cover over that large core gives golfers the spin needed to hit it closer to the hole.”

Across the entire Titleist ball range each model has its own unique dimple pattern to optimise aerodynamics and flight for its respective construction. Tour Soft golf balls feature a 346 quad dipyramid dimple pattern, resulting in extremely efficient aerodynamics for optimised flight and distance.

Priced at £34 per dozen, the Tour Soft will be offered in white, high optic yellow and green from February 2, with a pink option coming in July.
