Quantum moving swing plate delivers more than 1 million terrain variations and real lies for home practice, commercial venues and competitive play at Golf VX locations
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Golf VX has brought one of golf’s defining challenges indoors: playing the ball from the lie the course gives you. Available for residential and commercial purchase, and for golfers to experience at select Golf VX locations, its Quantum simulator technology pairs detailed course visuals with a moving swing plate that physically recreates uneven ground, making the lie an essential part of every shot.
Quantum’s multi-axis swing plate reproduces uphill, downhill and sidehill lies, including shots with the ball above or below a golfer’s feet. With more than 1 million terrain variations and real lies, the system brings the contours of the virtual course beneath the player’s stance. Dedicated hitting surfaces also simulate fairway, rough and bunker conditions, adding another dimension to shot selection and execution.
“Golf is a game of adjustment. You rarely get the same stance or the same lie twice, and that is a big part of what makes it so rewarding,” said Kyu Choi, Founder and CEO of Golf VX. “Hitting every shot from a flat mat removes a challenge golfers face on the course. We created Quantum to bring that challenge indoors. When the ground beneath you changes, golfers have to think strategically through the shot and adapt. That is the experience we want golfers to have, whether they are practicing at home, taking a lesson or playing a round at a Golf VX location.”
Practice That Reflects the Course
A level mat gives golfers the same footing swing after swing, but Quantum asks them to adjust their setup, balance and club selection as the terrain changes. That physical challenge gives experienced players a way to rehearse awkward lies and introduces newer golfers to decisions they will encounter on a course. Where the previous shot finishes now matters even more to how the next one is played.
Developed by Kakao VX, Quantum combines its terrain system with 4K course graphics, high-speed ball and club tracking, and AI-driven swing analysis. Practice modes cover the long game, short game and putting, while multiplayer rounds, leagues and tournaments give golfers ways to apply those skills in competition throughout the year.
For residential buyers, Quantum combines the convenience of a home simulator with opportunities to practice the uneven lies that shape an outdoor round. Golfers can work on setup and balance from different slopes, use swing analysis to inform their practice, or enjoy a virtual round with family and friends. Year-round access makes it easier to fit meaningful practice and recreational play at home into a daily routine, regardless of weather or daylight.
For commercial buyers, including golf clubs, teaching facilities and indoor golf operators, Quantum’s moving swing plate offers a distinctive experience for instruction, practice and social play. Instructors can help students understand how uneven ground affects setup and shot selection, while operators can build programming around practice sessions, multiplayer rounds, leagues and tournaments. That combination gives venues ways to serve golfers seeking focused improvement as well as guests looking for an engaging group experience.
Golfers can also experience the technology at Golf VX’s flagship venue in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and franchise locations in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and Duluth, Georgia. Alongside residential and commercial simulator sales, the company continues to offer franchise opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in operating a Golf VX venue.
