DIVNICKGOLF IS FOR SALE

DAYTON OHIO – After 35 years and thousands of his telescopic clubs sold all over the world, Steve Divnick has decided it is time to sell his golf company. The “Divnick Whole-In-One Adjustable Loft Club” has a transmission inside the head that can be locked on every loft in a full set, plus half lofts so you can really dial in the distance control. The telescopic travel shaft retracts to 17 inches and extends to a rock-solid 38.5 inches.  So you can, “Play the whole game with one club!”

Steve Divnick holds patents in a variety of product lines.  He started playing golf in 1990 with a borrowed bag of clubs.  About half way through the round, he offhandedly said to his playing partner, “This doesn’t make sense. I feel like a porter on a safari in Africa. I’m going back to the shop to build one club that plays the whole game.”  And he did.  Two years later, the Divnick Adjustable was patented, in production, and selling primarily to business travelers who carried it on their flights.

A couple years later he added telescopic drivers and putters for those who wanted more distance off the tee and a more conventional putting feel.  To be sure, you can drive and putt and do every shot with the adjustable club, but it is mostly like an iron, so it can’t generate as much club-head speed as a longer driver and it isn’t as “squared up” as a normal putter. So Divnick also offers a popular “3-Club Set” that includes a telescopic driver and putter along with the adjustable-loft club.

The TSA no longer allows golf clubs as carry-ons, but it is still more convenient to travel with than a full sets of clubs in a heavy bag with all the extra airline fees.  Customers toss their telescopic clubs into their checked bag and can catch a quick round or practice putting in their rooms or chipping out on the grass.

Divnick designed the adjustable club so it can have corporate logos in the cavity on the back.  Many companies get clubs that they give to their valuable employees or customers.  Local companies can get one or a dozen of them, but he has sold hundreds to some companies and over 1,000 of them to a single corporation. Logos, flags, mascots and personalization make up a large part of the business.

Over the years, Divnick has built custom clubs for trick-shot performers and others wanting something unique.  He has built drivers over 20 feet long, 9-foot putters, and drivers with 4 heads on them!  You can see many of these clubs on https://www.divnickgolf.com/bigstik/unique-clubs.php.

A few years ago, Divnick added the “Big Stik” which is, “The World’s Longest Production Driver!”  It is 5-feet long and the head is nearly twice the legal limit.  Divnick says, “If you can time the swing, you can hit the ball a country mile, you just don’t know what country it will land in!”  It is wild and fun.  This driver is typically used at charity golf outings where everyone gets to hit it for a donation.  It can easily raise an additional $1,000 or more.  There are over 25,000 charity outings per year just in the United States, so the Big Stik is a significant market all by itself.  Divnick is currently hunting for a corporate sponsor that will donate the drivers to the charity events.  Their branding can be on the bottom of the club and they would get recognition in the programs and charity websites, and could include a brochure or coupon in the cart bags. This is a fantastic advertising opportunity.  Divnick half-jokingly says, “I think Viagra would be a great sponsor for the Big Stik!”

Divnick made a 7-Footer Big Stik for LIV Golf, and a 9-Footer for Dude Perfect that will be featured at a TGL event at the So-Fi Center in January 2026.  You can see these professionals swinging the club on www.BigStik.com.

About DivnickGolf

Divnick recently turned 75 years old, so it is time to find someone to take over.   All the tooling is made and the manufacturing vendors are in place. He just wants to find someone who will apply modern marketing methods.  He has always relied on word-of-mouth for sales, but in this day of social media marketing, there is a whole new potential out there.   Divnick says, “Finding a company that is already making putters or clubs seems like the most likely candidate to take over.  But it could be someone who is good at marketing and I could continue to drop-ship the clubs during a transition period. I eventually want to phase out and retire from all of my product lines.  But I could make this very easy for someone to take over.”

Divnick’s other product lines are shown on www.divnick.com, including his latest invention, Golf Ebikes.  “Everything is for sale,” he says.  He just wants to find a good home for these unique products.
