Ex-professional footballer turned avid golfer Lee Sharpe has joined forces with American Golf to create a capsule golf clothing range. The Stromberg x Lee Sharpe collection is available online and in the new Trafford and Leeds megastores.
The first of three releases in the new clothing range includes a men’s midlayer, trousers, hoody and polo shirt in a striking navy blue and white colourway, duel logoed, featuring the iconic Stromberg logo and a specially designed logo depicting Sharpe’s famous microphone goal celebration. The polo shirt in the characterful range features a collar designed to be worn up, another nod to Lee’s famous Elvis goal celebration in 2000.
Sharpe, 51, who had 193 appearances for Man Utd and played for England eight times, said: “Working with American Golf to create a Stromberg range is another career highlight for me. Stromberg is designed with performance and appearance in mind, so when I was approached to inspire a collection, I jumped at the chance. I’ll be wearing this both on and off the course – let’s hope it brings me luck next season!”
