Zen Launches New Masters Tournament Historic Putts Playlist

AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, USA – Zen Golf has launched a new digital playlist this week, enabling Zen Green Stage owners to recreate some of the most iconic winning putts in Masters history, and test themselves to hole them.

Zen Green Stage owners will find a new ten-putt playlist entitled ‘The Masters – Famous Putts’ is available in their Zen Enhanced App from Friday 10th April, transforming historic moments from Augusta into fully playable experiences.

As each putt is selected, the Green Stage surface adjusts automatically to replicate the precise nature of the original putt, including not only uphill, downhill and right/left breaks, but also compound and double breaks.

In tribute to one of the world’s truly great sporting events, Zen’s new Masters Tournament playlist blends storytelling with realistic green replication, allowing golfers to step into some of the defining moments from ‘Masters Sunday’ over the last 90+ years not as spectators, but as participants.

Zen Green Stage owners will receive the update automatically via Google Play, with the playlist featured prominently within the Presets section of the Zen touchscreen interface.

Don’t just watch golf history – take part in it

The Green Stage’s unmatched ability to replicate real-world gradients invites you to participate in the world of tour golf like never before – testing yourself on some of the most high-pressure putts in Majors history.

Zen Golf, which recently integrated its software with Trackman to deliver automatic gradient-change for golf indoors, creates playlists which are not simply entertainment. They create reasons for players to return, compete, learn, and connect with the sport in exciting new ways which feel authentic and repeatable.

Extraordinary emotions from indoor putting

“Our presets and playlists make the Green Stage a little like Spotify, but for putting” said Zen’s Andy Hiseman. “We are sure that golfers will love this new Masters-themed collection of putts: after all, we have seen the joy which our previous ‘famous putts’ experiences have created many times at live events over the last decade.

“To create real pressure, we suggest two simple Local Rules: make it Stroke Play with no gimmies, and score an instant three-putt if the ball hits the back board on the Green Stage. This turns a casual indoor putt into a true heart-pounding moment, rich with tension and jeapordy.

“We have witnessed extraordinary emotions when players hole famous putts on a Green Stage in front of their friends – and equally when they don’t!” he continued. “This week’s new playlist celebrates the return of the Majors in 2026, and we will of course produce more themed challenges as the season progresses.”

But even without Zen’s assistance Green Stage owners can also now create and save their own Presets and Playlists. Make up impossible putts, and challenge your friends to hole them. Or, why not recreate putts from the greens at your own golf course? The Zen Enhanced App puts the power in your hands to do this.

“For coaches, it has never been easier to create drills which suit the way you coach, using the Zen Presets and Playlists feature which effectively supplies limitless programmable breaking putts on the Green Stage” said Hiseman. “And it is exactly the same for Swing Stage owners, for the long game.”

The Playlist includes ten defining putts from Masters history, each faithfully recreated:

  • Horton Smith, 1934, 17th Hole (now the 8th):

The putt from the beginning of Masters history. Smith’s closing birdie on the original 17th helped secure victory in the first Augusta National Invitation Tournament and set the dramatic tone for which ‘The Masters’ would quickly become known.

  • Gary Player, 1978, 18th Hole:
Player’s spectacular 15-foot birdie finish on 18 capped a brilliant final-round charge which made him, at the time, the oldest Masters champion in history.
  • Fuzzy Zoeller, 1979, 11th Hole (second playoff hole):
One of the tournament’s most memorable playoff finishes. Masters debutant Zoeller showed extreme composure under pressure in holing a gutsy six-foot putt to claim one of the tournament’s most unlikely victories in his playoff against Ed Sneed and two-time Masters champion Tom Watson.
  • Jack Nicklaus, 1986, 17th Hole:
The climax to one of the most celebrated final rounds in Majors history, Nicklaus’ delicate birdie putt on 17 elevated him to a sixth Masters title, creating one of Augusta’s defining moments.
  • Sandy Lyle, 1988, 18th Hole:
A trickling downhill putt after one of the great approach shots in Masters history, Lyle’s birdie on 18 clinched his status as the first British golfer in history to win the Masters Tournament.
  • Ian Woosnam, 1991, 18th Hole:
The putt which sealed a career-defining Major. ‘Woosie’ held his nerve on the last with a short putt to complete a composed Sunday performance and secure his only Masters title.
  • Mark O’Meara, 1998, 18th Hole:
A pure pressure putt from one of golf’s late bloomers. Mark O’Meara’s dramatic 20-foot birdie on 18 secured a one-shot victory. Like Lyle, it was to be his only victory at Augusta National.
  • Phil Mickelson, 2004, 18th Hole:
This long birdie putt on the last green ended years of near misses in the Majors for Mickelson. ‘Lefty’ went on to win five more Majors, including another two Masters Tournament trophies.
  • Adam Scott, 2013, 10th Hole (first playoff hole):
A landmark moment for Australian golf. Scott’s playoff birdie on the 10th, a big-breaking 15-footer, secured his place in history as the first Australian to win the Masters as he and Angel Cabrera contested a dramatic finish under fading light.
  • Sergio Garcia, 2017, 18th Hole (first playoff hole):
Another first-time Major won at Augusta National. Garcia’s playoff birdie putt from 12ft edged out Justin Rose in one of the most emotional victories Augusta has yet seen.
