Registration Now Open For The 4th Annual I Got This Championship

Phoenix, AZ   – The I GOT THIS Foundation is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 4th Annual I GOT THIS Championship, to be held February 13 -15, 2026. Returning to Toka Sticks Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona, this inspiring event aligns with the vision of the I GOT THIS Foundation as it welcomes athletes with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities to play golf and experience the thrill of competition.

Toka Sticks Golf Club is a venue rich with history and cultural significance. Originally designed and constructed in the 1950s by the Army Corps of Engineers, it stands as one of Arizona’s oldest and most cherished golf courses. Owned by the Gila River Indian Community, Toka Sticks offers challenges and enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels. “Toka Stick and the Gila River Indian Community are honored to welcome back the I GOT THIS Championship for a second year,” expressed David Soltesz Jr., Director of Golf. “The entire staff was moved earlier this year by the grace and fortitude of the athletes, inspiring all of us to support and expand these impactful initiatives.”

Last year’s championship saw 41 athletes from 19 states and Canada gather to share their passion for golf. The 2025 champions, Matthew Snowdon from Maryland and Tess Trojan from Ontario, Canada, exemplified the talent that the I GOT THIS Championship nurtures and celebrates.

This year, an anticipated field of 48 golfers will compete, with the opportunity to earn world ranking points through the United States Adaptive Golf Association (USAGA) and the international WR4GD (World Ranking for Golfers with Disabilities). Players will compete through 36-holes of independent play on a regulation course.

The weekend offers more than competition; it serves as a celebration aimed at bringing together families and communities, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Tracy Hupko, Executive Director of the I GOT THIS Foundation, shared her thoughts on the event’s impact: “The drive and perseverance displayed by last year’s golfers truly captured the spirit of golf while the enthusiasm of family and friends emphasized the strong community ties that make the joy of golf as vital as the game itself.”

Adding to the experience, the tournament benefits include social activities, player tee gifts, select meals, and an athlete challenge coin to recognize each player for their strength and commitment to competitive golf.
