Charleston, S.C. — The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) announces the launch of its newest event series, the Golf Business AI Workshop Tour. This event is the first of its kind to provide hands-on artificial intelligence training directly to golf course owners and operators to guide them in using this progressive technology to enhance operations and save money.

In each of these exclusive, high-impact, in-person workshops, attendees will spend a full day learning about artificial intelligence and how to harness its power to improve golf course marketing and operations. The first Golf Business AI Workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 21 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at The Glen Club in Glenview, IL. Learn more about the event and education program here.Additional workshops will follow in other U.S. locations throughout the year.

“We’re excited to bring ‘AI in Action’ to the industry at a time when course owners are looking for practical, real-world ways to modernize their businesses and stay ahead of rapid change,” said Taylor Wall, NGCOA’s Sr. Director of Education. “This workshop reflects NGCOA’s commitment to identifying business-critical topics and delivering high-impact education that operators can immediately put into practice. I’m especially grateful to have a dynamic and forward-thinking owner in Allison George and a well-respected and renowned industry technologist in Mike Hendrix leading the sessions.”

The program will be full and comprehensive: the morning will begin with Coffee & Conversation and lead into Session One: AI for Labor Savings & Operations, led by Allison George, “Wizard of Fun” at Toad Valley Golf Course. After the group lunch, Mike Hendrix, Host of the Tech Caddie Podcast, will lead Session Two: AI for Marketing & Customer Growth. The day will conclude with a happy hour for continued networking and relationship-building. Following this practical, real-world AI training, attendees will have immediate and actionable takeaways, valuable peer connections, and a Golf Business AI Workshop Certificate of Completion.

The NGCOA has limited seating to the first 50 attendees to ensure a personalized, high-value experience. Qualified attendees will also earn continuing education credits from the PGA of America, LPGA, GCSAA and CMAA. Prior to the in-person workshop, registered attendees will have an opportunity to participate in an online “primer” session to become familiar with the technology and meet other attendees in advance.

Interested golf facility owners, operators, marketing staff and other managers can learn more about the Workshop and register at https://www.ngcoa.org/education/upcoming-events/ai-workshop-tour. (The Golf Business AI Workshop Tour’s Summer 2026 session will be held in Atlanta, GA on Monday, August 31 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Bobby Jones Golf Course. Registration will open soon.)
