Purpose:
To gently stretch the low back and posterior hips, reduce lumbar stiffness, and promote relaxation. Commonly used for general mobility and pain relief in the lumbar spine.
Description:
Lie on your back with knees bent. Bring one or both knees toward your chest using your hands or a physio ball placed under the legs for support. Hold the stretch, then return to starting position. Repeat 2–3 times as needed.
Equipment:
Optional physio ball or towel for support under the legs
Tips:
Relax your upper body and avoid lifting your head. If using a physio ball, let the legs rest gently on the ball to avoid excessive strain.
