Play to Pay It Forward, Deliver More Opportunities in Golf
Phoenix, AZ — The I GOT THIS Foundation, founded in 2019 by Amy Bockerstette and her family, is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual I GOT THIS Charity Scramble. Everyone is invited to attend on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the largest fundraising event of the year. This occasion promises a day of golf combined with a celebration of inclusion and community coming together to play it forward.
Amy Bockerstette, an inspiring golfer and advocate for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is celebrated for her memorable moment with PGA Tour player Gary Woodland on the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale during a practice round at the 2019 WM Phoenix Open. She has shown that golf is a sport for everyone, and her spirit and commitment continue to motivate countless individuals, embodying the very essence of the I GOT THIS Foundation.
The Charity Scramble will feature golf, a silent auction and raffle, incredible tee gifts valued at over $150 for every participant, thrilling on-course contests with prizes, and an awards luncheon immediately following play. Participants will enjoy a grab-and-go breakfast and use of golf carts, courtesy of a returning sponsor, Unomojo. Gratitude is also extended to other esteemed sponsors such as XXIO, GR8FR8 Logistics, Happy Golf Company, and the LPGA.
Scott Wood, Vice President of LPGA Properties, will be the guest speaker. Reflecting on Amy’s unique relationship with the LPGA through the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program, Scott remarks: “Amy’s journey with golf exemplifies the inclusive spirit we cherish at the LPGA. Her participation in the 2016 LPGA Founders Cup Pro-Am was not only a significant achievement for her but also a reminder of the power of perseverance and passion. We are proud to continue supporting Amy and the I GOT THIS Foundation in their mission to make golf accessible and enjoyable for all.”
Everyone is encouraged to support a cause that champions inclusivity. Whether a seasoned golfer or just starting out, or someone looking for a volunteer opportunity, there’s a spot at the I GOT THIS Charity Scramble for everyone. “Efforts from this event will fund our programs which deliver on our mission to promote golf instruction and playing opportunities for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities,” said Tracy Hupko, I GOT THIS Foundation Executive Director. Nationwide I GOT THIS Discovery Golf Clinics and Golf Camps along with the I GOT THIS Instructor Academy have positively impacted nearly 300 individuals this year alone.
