Are you ever nervous on the first tee? It’s not necessarily a bad thing as long as you’re prepared to deal with it. In this video Brian Hughes, PGA Master Professional in Instruction and Golf Program Director at Keiser University College of Golf, demonstrates a couple of steps that might help you get prepared for your first tee.
“Yeah, you’re nervous, you’re anxious, you’re on the first tee. You’ve got people standing around, you are playing an important event, or just playing in front of people, which can make you nervous a little bit. We have our students all the time getting ready for tournament play, and they talk to me about being nervous. And the general feeling is, is that nerves are a good thing. It means you care, you’re excited about it, but at the same token. It can impact our performance.”
