CoachNow and Operation 36 Extend Golf Instruction Leadership and Introduce CoachBook

WAYNE, PA — Golf Genius today announced record 2025 sales for CoachNow, the golf industry’s most comprehensive and capable coaching platform, and for Operation 36, the only golf program that combines a custom technology platform with a proven coaching curriculum and progression system for advancing beginner golfers.

CoachNow experienced record growth in 2025, fueled by the launch of CoachNow Academy, a ground-breaking new offering that unifies advanced video analysis (including AI-enabled skeleton tracking), instant athlete communication via dedicated “Spaces” and “Groups,” and business tools like scheduling, facility calendars, registration, billing, and roster management — all in one platform. This new offering delivers unprecedented value to coaches by helping them manage everyday workflows, freeing up more time to collaborate with athletes. With 20,000+ 5-star reviews and an average app rating of 4.9 stars, CoachNow is the Apple App Store’s highest-rated video capture, analysis, and collaboration system in golf.

CoachNow will build on this momentum in 2026 with additional innovations aimed at helping coaches operate, automate, and grow. Golf Genius also plans to introduce CoachBook, a forthcoming coach discovery experience designed to help coaches become more discoverable and connect with prospective clients across the company’s broader ecosystem.

According to Ben Addoms, President of Golf Genius Mobile Products, “2025 was a milestone year for CoachNow. Our team remains relentlessly focused on what matters most to coaches: saving time, staying organized, and delivering a premium, consistent experience for every athlete. From the launch of CoachNow Academy to major upgrades in billing, scheduling, and multi-cam, we’re building a platform that enables coaches to run their entire business in one place.”

Operation 36 by Golf Genius also experienced strong growth in 2025. Total participants jumped by more than 14% year over year, to a total number now surpassing 220,000 golfers. Since launching in 2015, more than 5,000 Operation 36 coaches worldwide have helped introduce hundreds of thousands of new golfers to the game through the program’s proven and structured approach.

Analysis of participation data for 2025 also reveals how Operation 36, long recognized as the most effective way to teach young players the game, has also evolved into one of the fastest-growing adult beginner golf programs in the industry. Today, nearly half of Operation 36 golfers are adults and more than 60% of adult beginners are women.

In 2025, Operation 36 introduced major platform enhancements including streamlined navigation and a new 9-hole event management system that enables coaches to easily manage RSVPs, tee times, pairings, and communication across web and mobile. This on-course infrastructure leverages Golf Genius’ deep expertise in league and tournament management, bringing that capability directly into the gamified, beginner golf experience.

“The evidence is clear: Operation 36 creates engaged and enthusiastic new golfers,” commented Matt Reagan, Co-Founder of Operation 36 Golf and General Manager of Operation 36. “Coaches at Operation 36 program locations all benefit from a highly evolved shared framework and curriculum, but every coach retains the freedom to fully exercise their own coaching style and expertise. As we enter 2026, our team will continue expanding both the coach and golfer tools, including new mobile experiences designed to help coaches engage students more deeply and help beginners learn and progress in an intuitive, gamified way.”

Since its inception, Operation 36 has generated more than $90 million in revenue for coaches and facilities using the Operation 36 platform. Program locations also typically generate significant incremental facility revenue through green fees, food and beverage, and merchandise sales.

Chris Kallmeyer, CEO of Golf Genius, commented: “Coaching is clearly a strategic pillar of our business, and our strong, sustained investment in the category is testimony to its importance. Ongoing growth in the popularity of the game is driving more and more demand for instruction, and we believe CoachNow and Operation 36 are delivering tremendous value to facilities, coaches, and golfers.”
