Golf District’s Silver Bullet To No-shows And Demand Takes Stage At Golf Inc. Summit

RESTON, VA   – No-shows and late cancellations cost golf courses over a billion dollars every year. Golf District, often described as the “StubHub of golf,” has developed the industry’s first true safeguard for perishable tee-time inventory—a course-first platform that bolts onto existing tee sheets with ease.

The results are already measurable: courses using Golf District have seen zero no-shows, a 20 to 40 percent average daily rate (ADR) lift, and six- and seven-figure annual revenue gains.

Golf District will highlight its platform during a featured session at the Golf Inc. Strategies Summit in Las Vegas: Booth #30, Wednesday, September 17, 1:15 – 1:50 p.m.

Why It Matters

In every industry with perishable inventory, safeguards exist to capture maximum value. Airlines oversell flights and fill empty seats with standby passengers. Hotels resell late cancellations. Restaurants count on walk-ins. Sports and entertainment thrive on secondary markets.

Golf, however, has lagged behind. When a 9:10 tee time goes unused, that revenue opportunity is gone forever. With 59 percent of U.S. courses now operating at or near capacity (National Golf Foundation), the stakes have never been higher.

“Until now, golf has lacked a safeguard to protect perishable tee times,” said Josh Segal, Co-CEO of Golf District. “We’ve built Golf District to solve this structurally, in a way that prioritizes course operators. This is about protecting their brand, their data, and their revenue — while also delivering golfers the access and flexibility they want.”

About Golf District

Golf District is the first company to bring true high-demand technology to golf. Its platform bolts onto existing tee sheets—already integrated with most of the leading providers in the U.S.—allowing courses to implement a prepaid, non-refundable booking policy at no cost. When golfers cannot make a round, they can seamlessly resell their time back through the course’s website. Courses retain control, earn rack rate on the first booking, and share in revenue with every resale.

Trusted by top multi-course operators nationwide, Golf District delivers measurable benefits: no-shows are eliminated, residents protected, revenue is locked in, and golfers gain liquidity and access to high-demand public courses.

The company’s team and advisors include veteran leaders from SeatGeek, the PGA of America Board, Golf Channel, and Starbucks Coffee Company, combining golf, hospitality, and ticketing industry expertise with world-class innovation to create the most modern, data-driven demand engine in public golf.
