Next-generation leadership to drive continued growth and innovation

Galvin Green, the leading premium high-tech golf apparel brand, has appointed Martin Nilsson as its new Chief Executive Officer, based at the company’s global headquarters in Växjö, southern Sweden.

The board of directors has promoted Nilsson, from a key position in the finance team, to succeed Nicholai Stein, who has served as CEO since January 2020. The appointment strengthens alignment between the board and management team, ensuring greater agility as the brand continues its trajectory of international growth and innovation.

Martin Nilsson, 41, son of owner Tomas Nilsson, has held a number of important roles within the brand and brings both a deep-rooted connection to the company and extensive experience in the golf apparel sector. Having started in a part-time role in the warehouse over 20-years ago, Nilsson began to rise through the ranks In 2009, he played a pivotal role in driving the brand’s growth in the UK, collaborating with sales agents to firmly establish Galvin Green in the market. He also helped build the U.S. subsidiary, spearheading the company’s strategic entry into the world’s largest golf market more than a decade ago.

As CEO, Nilsson will focus on expanding the global reach Galvin Green has in both established and emerging markets, accelerating sustainability initiatives, and delivering innovative apparel that continues to set new standards in comfort, performance and style.

“I am honoured to follow in my family’s footsteps and lead Galvin Green into the future,” said Martin Nilsson. “This brand has always stood for innovation, quality, and an unwavering passion for the game of golf. My ambition is to ensure we remain the benchmark for performance golf apparel, while embracing sustainability and pushing the boundaries of design and technology.”

Since its founding in 1990, Galvin Green has earned worldwide recognition for premium apparel designed ‘by golfers for golfers.’ Today, its products are sold at leading courses and resorts across the globe and remain the preferred choice of serious players seeking uncompromising performance. Recent collections, such as the CONCEPT capsules, showcase the brand’s ability to blend function and style, offering versatile garments that perform on the course while appealing to younger golfers as off-course fashion.

His efforts have been instrumental in Galvin Green’s development, driving both growth and a thriving company culture that will continue to serve us well in the years ahead.
