ORLANDO – Don Smith has joined Concert Golf Partners as Senior Vice President of Operations for the Premier Division of private clubs within Concert’s portfolio.
In this pivotal role, he is responsible for overseeing Concert’s premier, high-end clubs, such as The Club at Longview(near Charlotte); The Club at New Seabury (Cape Cod); and The Club at Renaissance (Ft. Myers, Florida). Smith is charged with providing members with a high-end hospitality experience, creating and implementing strategic initiatives, and leading multifaceted capital projects.
His leadership is instrumental in advancing Concert Golf’s mission of operational excellence and delivering exceptional member experiences across Concert’s premier properties.
He has served in leadership roles at some of the most respected clubs in the country, including Snowmass Club in Colorado, The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, and Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte. Smith is proud to have led the recent $30 million renovation of Myers Park, a transformative project that expanded and reimagined club spaces—far surpassing member expectations.
“Don Smith’s strategic mindset, deep operational expertise, and commitment to excellence makes him a tremendous asset to the Concert Golf team,” said Susan Dunnavant, Concert Golf Partners Co-Founder and COO. “He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the club industry.”
Smith’s journey in the club world began at age 15 as a member of the grounds crew on a public course in Southern New Hampshire, mowing fairways and greens at sunrise. That early introduction sparked a lifelong passion for the industry.
He is an avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys downhill and uphill skiing (alpine touring), mountain and road biking, hiking, and paddleboarding. His approach to both recreation and leadership is guided by the same philosophy: explore, experience, and excel.
