World Wide Technology also awards five of its program participants – Chase Johnson, John-Baptiste Hakizimana, Aaron Beverly, Troy Taylor II and Kevin Hall – berths in the Monday (November 3) Qualifier for the PGA TOUR’s 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

LOS ANGELES – Membership in the APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program has its perks, as five APGA Tour golfers can attest. Substantial bonuses from the program help offset professional touring circuit expenses to allow the dream of competing on the PGA TOUR in 2025 become a reality.

Two-time reigning (2023 and 2024) APGA Player of the Year Chase Johnson won the program’s top bonus prize of $7,500 by virtue of his first/second overall standing in the Cisco Cup Series points race.

Initially, eight golfers were selected to participate in the program during the 2025 APGA Tour season: Aaron Beverly (Sacramento, California resident), John-Baptiste Hakizimana (Hobe Sound, Florida), Kevin Hall (Cincinnati, Ohio), Chase Johnson (Boynton Beach, Florida), Gregory Odom, Jr. (Memphis, Tennessee), Cole Stevens (Johannesburg, South Africa), Troy Taylor II (Westerville, Ohio) and Andrew Walker (Holt, Michigan).

Of the golfers who were initially selected to the 2025 APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program, cash bonuses from a prize pool of $25,000 were awarded to five who ranked highest in the APGA Tour’s Cisco Cup Series points standings. Bonus amounts were based on cumulative performance in ten designated Cisco Cup Series events during the 2025 APGA Tour season, culminating with the Mastercard APGA Tour Championship on Aug. 14.

Final APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program bonus earnings are as follows:

  1. Chase Johnson – $7,500
  2. John-Baptiste Hakizimana – $6,000
  3. Aaron Beverly – $5,000
  4. Troy Taylor II – $4,000
  5. Kevin Hall – $2,500

Additionally, WWT is awarding berths for the bonus-winners during the Monday (November 3) Qualifier for the PGA TOUR’s 2025 World Wide Technology Championship, paying each player’s travel expense. The event is held in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at El Cardonal at Diamante, the first course design from Tiger Woods through his golf course architecture firm, TGR Design.

“WWT is proud to continue its sponsorship of the APGA Player Development Program, providing essential resources to top performers on the APGA TOUR.  The partnership reflects the shared values of WWT, the PGA TOUR and the APGA TOUR,” said Matt Horner, Executive Vice President, WWT. “The program is designed to create opportunities for APGA TOUR athletes to take the next step in their golfing career. Congratulations to all the golfers selected.”

The APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to nurture and elevate top performers on and off the course. Founded in 2010, the Advocates Professional Golf Association is a non-profit organization that offers elite coaching, customized club fittings, fitness evaluations, mentorship and new professional development sessions. The program equips players with the tools they need to reach the highest levels of the game.

“The APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program has been a tremendous, innovative collaboration with our partners at World Wide Technology, and it is invaluable to the golfing growth and education of our participating players,” said Solomon Hughes, Chief Operating Officer of the APGA. “Our APGA golfers are incredibly deserving of these WWT rewards earned through their collective APGA Tour performance this year. Providing vital financial assistance and PGA TOUR-caliber playing opportunity surely inspires and motivates our talented golfers to maximize their potential as they ascend to grander horizons in golf.”

The APGA Foundation allocates more than $300,000 to support the Player Development Program. Each of the players in the program receives a Full Swing launch monitor, a golf course membership, golf instructions, mental coaching, mentorship, fees for Monday qualifiers into Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR events as well as oversight and accountability from the APGA’s Director of Player Development. New this year, an APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Summit will be held in April in Connecticut at the Golf Performance Center.

About the APGA Tour

The APGA Tour was established in 2010 as a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf. The APGA Tour Board of Directors works diligently to accomplish this by hosting and operating professional golf tournaments, player development programs, mentoring programs, and by introducing the game to inner city young people. In addition to conducting 18 tournaments awarding more than $1 million in prize and bonus money, the APGA has organized a Player Development Program to aid golfers as they work to chase their professional golf goals.
