2023 Mexico Open DFS: Optimal FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy golf picks, PGA lineups, strategy, advice

Tony Finau and Gary Woodland have been popular PGA DFS picks for years, but daily Fantasy golf players will have to decide if they can be trusted when they set their PGA DFS strategy for the 2023 Mexico Open, which gets underway from Vidanta Vallarta on Thursday, April 27. Finau, who’s among the highest priced players on both DraftKings and FanDuel, secured a T-2 finish at the Mexico Open in 2022. Woodland, whose PGA DFS price is $9,600 on DraftKings and $11,300 on FanDuel, has recorded four victories and 54 top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour.

Can those household names be relied on as PGA DFS picks this week? Or is it time to fade them in favor of players with a significantly lower price tag? Before you lock in your PGA DFS picks for the 2023 Mexico Open, you’ll want to see the latest daily Fantasy golf picks, advice and player pool from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS pro with over $2 million in career winnings, and he’s been red-hot on his PGA Tour picks this season. McClure is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every tournament 10,000 times, taking factors like statistical trends, past results and current form into account. This allows him to find the best PGA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any PGA DFS player.

In addition, McClure’s model is up over $8,500 on its best bets since June 2020, nailing tournament after tournament. This same model has also nailed a whopping nine majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2023 Mexico Open and revealed his optimal PGA DFS advice, strategy and player pool. Head to SportsLine now to see his top golf DFS picks for the Mexico Open 2023.

Top 2023 Mexico Open PGA DFS picks

One of McClure’s top PGA DFS picks for the Mexico Open 2023 is Eric Cole at $7,500 on DraftKings and $9,100 on FanDuel. Cole enters Vidanta Vallarta as one of the best putters on tour, which will make him a valuable PGA DFS asset this week.

Cole currently ranks third in overall putting average (1.539), fourth in putts per round (27.70) and 10th in one-putt percentage (44.78%). Cole’s prolific putting stroke has helped the 34-year-old finish T-27 or better in three of his last seven starts, which includes a runner-up finish at the Honda Classic in February. He’s a complete steal at this price point, so confidently lock him in your PGA DFS lineups.

McClure’s optimal PGA DFS strategy also includes rostering Jon Rahm at $12,000 on DraftKings and $12,600 on FanDuel. Rahm is the defending champion of this event and he’s been on absolute tear this season. The No. 1 ranked player in the world has recorded four victories and seven top-10 finishes in 11 starts.

The 28-year-old Spaniard has all the tools needed to return solid value for your PGA DFS lineups this week in Mexico. In fact, Rahm is currently ranked first in both scoring average (68.823) and birdie average (5.08). He also ranks inside the top 10 in greens in regulation percentage (73.12%), strokes gained: approach to green (1.102) and putting average (1.694). Lock him in your PGA DFS lineups and look for a big return this week at the 2023 Mexico Open. See who else to back right here.
