The 2023 Masters will have plenty of golf news to follow, including the appearance of Tiger Woods. The 15-time major champion can surpass Sam Snead with another victory at Augusta National Golf Club. Woods has recorded 82 wins on the PGA Tour and won the Masters five times in his career, the last being in 2019. The Masters 2023 will get underway from Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday, April 6.
According to the latest 2023 Masters odds from Caesars Sportsbook, Woods is a 55-1 longshot. Jon Rahm is the 15-2 favorite, while other top 2023 Masters contenders include defending champion Scottie Scheffler (8-1), Rory McIlroy (17-2), Cameron Smith (12-1) and Jordan Spieth (15-1). SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,400 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

The model was also all over Rahm’s (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

Top 2023 Masters predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2023 Masters: Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion and one of the top favorites, struggles mightily at Augusta National and doesn’t even crack the top 12. Spieth became a household name when he won the Masters in 2015.
However, the 29-year-old hasn’t finished on top of the leaderboard at a major since 2017. He also enters the Masters 2023 ranked 177th in driving accuracy percentage (53.24%), 80th in greens in regulation percentage (67.01%) and 78th in strokes gained putting (.098). In addition, Spieth has finished 46th or worse in two of his last three starts at the Masters.
The model has also revealed where Tiger will finish at the 2023 Masters. Woods played his first PGA Tour even in over two years when he laced up his golf shoes for the 2023 Genesis Invitational, an event his charitable foundation hosts.
